master page error

Question

Dear Sir.

I use nested master page but if i add a new web form then page tell the add a content. if we add a content then error occur.

Error is "could not Fnd 'MainMenuPlaceHolder' in current master page

please solve my problem .

Hi Kindly follow these steps: 1: Add a master page. First Master Page   2: Add another master page . Remember select first master page in it. 3: Write any text and add a 'Content place holder' inside 'Content ID = Content2' tag. Then your 2nd master page look as: Second Master Page 4: Add a web page and bind it with 2nd master page. hello PFA and Thank you.

Two controls cannot have same IDS .As you can see that ContentPlaceHolderID of both Content tags are showing error so change the ContentPlaceHolderID of one tag.If this is second master page then place ContentPlaceHolder in Content tag .
