yes we can on Page_PreInit of a web page.. void Page_PreInit(Object sender EventArgs e) { this.MasterPageFile = ~/MasterPage1.master; }

Hey man I didn't try it but it seems that you can assign a master page. Check this site http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/c8y19k6h.aspx There is an example as well.. void Page_PreInit(Object sender EventArgs e) { this .MasterPageFile = ~/NewMaster.master ; }
