Memory Issue

Question

Guys We are looking at using some third party controls for our applications. But before we use them for our applications we wanted to make sure that they work fine as far as memory is concerned. So here is what I want to do. There is a third party control called 'Ultragrid' which is same as the 'wingrid' (except it does a lot more). I am planning to write an application with 'Ultragrid' and then the same application with 'wingrid' and finally I want to see how the two applications perform with regrads to memory. Is there a way in C# to log the memory usage for the applications? I hope you guys understand my question. If not I am can explain more. Any suggestionsadvice or comments will be greatly appreciated. comment. scitech.com could not be found by my browser but scitech.se was found with .NET memory profiler available. :) Thanks for info about tool.

Hey guys Atlast I found a tool called .NET memory profiler( suggested by someone from another forum). You can find the tool in scitech.com. Its a cool tool. Anybody interested in memory issues should definitely try this tool.

I think I understand the question. You want to monitor the memory usage of your app using the third party control. I believe the GarbageCollector could be of help in here. The GarbageCollector can give you a long number of the bytes being allocated at that time. GC.GetTotalMemory() I hope this could be of any help.
