Menu control :how to add new menu at runtime

Hello i am making website on electronic products in my home page i have diffrenct catagories of items in admin part i have updateproduct page. now how can i add new catagory of product in my website at runtime? i am using menu cotrol for navigation

Check this example in MSDN and see how they used the XmlDataSource. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.xmldatasource.aspx In both cases they provide the XML documents. Here a TreeView is used instead of a Menu but the idea is the same. Either way try to consider another control to pull the categories without creating a XML file for latter display.

Hi If you want to show your Product Categories in a dynamic menu you may try pull the categories from your DB then save them in an XML file and choose the XML file as DataSource for the Menu. dont know the nature of your site neither your desired behavior but you also may consider showing you Categories in a DataList a DropDownList etc any other control that gives you the representation you want by using you Category list as DataSource without having to save this list as XML first. Hope this can help you decide the most appropriate selection for your site. If you want dynamic content you need to used dynamic binding and a front end (admin pages) that allows you to update remove or insert your Categories Products etc.
