Moving a SQL2008 instance

Question

Hi all How will it be possible to move a SQL instance from one machine with SQL2008 on to another machine with no SQL installed and use the instance when SQl is installed on my other server? Thanks

if you dont have SQL installed you will not able to use any other machine instance on it . look at my article here might this will help you to use other instance if you dont have installed sql  http://vikrantamore.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/how-to-run-the-sql-queries-on-local-system-remote-queries-without-installing-the-license-version-of-microsoft-sql-server/ this will might help you. and using the othere instance to the other PC why dont you try to use Linked server. this will better for you i think.
