MSc IT or MCA

Question

Hi,

I have completed my BSc IT in 2007 and have a work ex of 3.5 years. 

I am planning to do MSc IT as i have heard that MCA is of 3 years, has approx the same syllabus as BSc IT (MSc IT lets us learn new technologies) and after doing MSc IT if we want to do MCA , we can do from MCA 3rd year. In this way we get 2 degrees.

1. Is the above thing correct?

2. Is Mumbai University better for doing MSc IT.

3. Doing a distance learning counts in PT or FT degree value?
