multiple forms?

I've been using VB 6 for a while and using multiple forms is easy. But I can't figure out how to get the other forms to show in VB.NET. The code I am trying to enter is frmQuestions.Show 1 What am I doing wrong? Are there any other major differences that I should know about with .NET thats diff. from 6.0?

Set the ControlBox property of the Form to False. That will get rid of the top section containing the Maximize Minimize and Close controls.

Hey thanks a lot ya'll. One more thing...how do I get rid of the original Min. Max. and Exit button on each form? And if I send a form to someone else can they just open it normally or do they need a program?

This works. The following is the code for a button in the first form. I've also included commented-out alternate code that works the same as the line above it. It's similar to VB6 code except for the Dim statement that declares a New form: Private Sub btnFirst_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnFirst.Click Dim frm2 As New Form2() frm2.Show() ' frm2.Visible = True Me.Hide() ' Me.Visible = False End Sub

yes there is a big difference in vb6 u could call any form in ur project by just typing the name of the form and u could do what ever u want. in .net its different u must create a instance of the form u want to play with first let say you have Form1 and Form2. in form 1 u want to show Form2 you would do something like this in form1 dim myForm2 as new Form2() myForm2.ShowDialog();
