My sql query Issue

I am facing an issue in mysql

I have created a table in mysql like hr.emp .Now when I am going to run this query

Select * from hr.emp .It gives error.

There is an alternate using tilled like `hr.emp` but I can not use in my scenario.

select * from `hr.emp`; will work. If it doesn't then try adding Database name before table name like : select * from `Databasename`.`hr.emp`;

May be you should have shared the error as well. Just saying it gives error doesn't tell us much does it?
