I need a small query. In the table i am having different names among those i would like to display only the names that start with a particular letter.

Hi dorababu You could use the query as : SELECT Column_Name from table_name Where Column_Name LIKE '[char]%'; For eg if you want to find names starting with character 'D' in a table Employee having column FirstName: SELECT FirstName from Employee WHERE FirstName LIKE 'D%';
