need library for zip

Question

hi I want to zip some files using c#. Just want to know is there already library available to provie zipping functionality or i have to call external exe to do so. I have no idea about it. any pointers will e helpful.

If you have .NET 4.5 (VS 2012 or later) the System.Compression namespace now supports proper 'zip' (and not just 'gzip') compression. Check this article: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/381661/Creating-Zip-Files-Easily-in-NET
