Need to purchase a DataGrid -any suggestions?

Question

Just looking for any feedback regarding the two vendors that I've boiled down the search to. They are: Developer Express's XtraGrid and Infragistics's UltraGrid. Anyone have any experience with either one? Thank you!

I've used the Infragistics Ultra win grid for some time. I'd have to say that it has some good points and some bad points. It works well with predefined data sets not so well with on the fly data. The subscription price make the suite an attractive bargin however if you are only looking for windows components syncfusion has a very impresive grid and thier subscription price is lower. Brad

James Yes the 3rd party tools offer a lot of new features such as: CardView SummaryRows DropDown Controls in the grid column editing etc. This will save us a lot of development time. PS: I have just been reviewing Janus GridEX for .NET and it looks good too.

I''m just curious what is the reason you are looking to buy something? Is there functionality that is offered by these 3rd party controls that isn't in the existing DataGrid? -James
