Need to show recent activities to the user

Question

I'm developing a HRM system using C#.Net , so i just want to get the idea from you all to implement some specific functionality. that functionality is my users need to show of their apply leaves are approved when they are log in back to the system and also need to show of recent activities quickly. these are should be highlighted and wants to make aware of the recent activities of the system. how can i do this using C# ?
