Hi the location of isolated storage depends on the operating system see the following link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/3ak841sy.aspx#isolated_storage_locations Also I'm not sure if I maybe missundersood you but if you are looking for some disadvantages of using isolated storage then the only one I encounter was an issue when running the application with low privileges. You see to access IsolatedStorage your code must have all the necessary native platform operating system rights and if it doesn't it will fail to create an IsolatedStorage stream.
