hi, I want to know whether companies started implementing .net 3.0 or still using .net 2.0.

Just for clarity, Microsoft really hosed up the naming scheme over the last year. - .NET 3.0 is an add on for Visual Studio 2005 that introduced C# 3.0, WPF, WCF, and WF. It is bolted onto .NET 2.0, but there are few supporting features in the IDE for 3.0 development. - .NET 3.5, which is probably what you mean to refer to, is bolted onto .NET 3.0 (and subsequently is also built on 2.0 technologies). It introduces LINQ, in all its glorious flavors, and is supported by Visual Studio 2008, which finally makes using 3.0 features palatable. To answer your question, my company is using VS2008 and .NET 3.5, and there are plenty of others out there doing so. There are also many who are still stuck on 2.0 and (gasp) 1.1. But the short answer is "Yes, companies are using 3.5". If you are interested, I have a series on my blog about new C# features.
