NETWORK Communication!!!!

Could anybody help me on accesing the network.. I have a program that interact with other PC on LAN.. How do i send/recieved data? What ports do i used to communicate.. Thanks.. You ALL.. who will reply..

you can get the reference from any .net book for e.g. professional c# by Wrox publications. There you will get the whole idea.

I dont decide yet if i used a socket or not.. just give me some basic concept about network communication. Do i need some ports to access about this? what is the best way if i am sending/recieving data over LAN? PLs.. DO help... thanks..

Are you using sockets for communication? if that is the case you can decide which port you should use for listening.
