Hi  By design  Session is not supported in Signal R . Your HTTPContext.Current.Sessio n will return Null as a mater of fact . This is stated in the official documentation as well : http://www.asp.net/signalr/overview/testing-and-debugging/troubleshooting HTTPContext.Current.Session is null This behavior is by design. SignalR does not support the ASP.NET session state since enabling the session state would break duplex messaging.
