Norton Deletes My Exe files??????

Question

Norton antivirus deletes my own softwares... My softwares are clean. I can run my softwares in C:\Users\user\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\WindowsFormsApplication\WindowsFormsApplication\obj\x86\Debug folder. but if I move my exe file on desktop and try to open my software on desktop, antivirus deletes my exe file. I can't understand it. What can I do. help me please??

I recommend creating shortcuts on the desktop. I think Norton will allow that; it should. Then you do not need to move the file; the newest version will be used automatically. Of course, I understand that you might want to have control of what version is executed. You want to be able to test the program, then when you have something that works, you would then copy the exe file. Then you could continue to develop and debug the program and have a working version you can use. Programmers have been doing that type of thing since long before you were born. The solution that experienced developers is to have multiple configurations. Do you know what a release build is? A release build is a version of a program that is released for use. So when you have a version of your program that you want to keep for use, change your project's configuration to be a release build. Then build the project, then switch the configuration back to debug. Then put a shortcut on your desktop for the release build. And then you will have learned something more that you will use many more times in your carrier.

You probably need to go to Norton settings and disable automatic deletes.
