Notiification in webpage

Hi I am developing an web application using ASP.NET with C# where i want to show a notification to the Approverif any approval is pending. So how to do that. Kilndly help me.

I would suggest you to use jquery or java script on page. For this you need to create a web method or service either you can go with handler(.ashx) file (which one is better for you) and it should read in database if any approval is pending. On document.ready by ajax request you can call your method and you can show an alert message or any other option to Approver for notification. And if you want to show notification always whenever a new approval is added in db so you need to set a timer to call ajax method on a time interval.
