Often times people interchange c# and c#.net. But actually they are just referring to c#. I think it's just to distuingish that the c# version is .NET. just like when you say vb6 or vb.net vc++ 6 or vc++.net. The only difference is that c# has no version in visual studio 6 so people just call it plain c# or sometimes c#.net. The C# Language is a Programming Language. Not sure what you mean by C#.NET. You probably mean just .NET . .NET is a framework with a library that uses the .NET Runtime (CLR). The difference is that .NET can be programmed using a variety of languages (C# VB.NET J# Managed C++).
