NP122 return of Console.ReadLine()

Hi Guys NP122 return of Console .ReadLine() I wish to know whether return of Console .ReadLine() method is always string date type. Please explain. Thank you

Yes it always returns a string. This type was chosen (rather than System.Object) because anything that can be typed in at the console must have a string representation.
