number with point

first sorry for my english i just build a special electric calculator but i dont know how to limit the number(answer) i get like 2 numbers after the point beacuse now i have the answer and 20 numbers after the point thank you

thank you i tried both of the ideas both of them work for me very well but i used the second one i have many calculation so i did that method on text chenged method Dim ib As Double ib = txtboxibmol.Text ib = Math.Round(ib 3) txtboxibmol.Text = ib thank you again

Even better you may want to round out the number to the nearest hundredth: num = Math.Round(num 2) This will return a double number to 2 places after the decimal point.

I'm assuming that you're using the Double type for your variable. If so you can either use the Format function of VB or the Double.ToString function of the framework. I like to use the framework whenever possible so my example will show you that method. Dim myNumber as Double Dim str as String str = myNumber.ToString(f2) ToString converts the number to a string value and f2 indicates that you want the format as Fixed to 2 decimal places
