i am getting this error Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hi John This is the very common error and it comes where you were try to access attributs of object and the object is null! For example You have written in your code string name = dt.Rows[0][Name] and dt is null then it might appear above error. Also remember .ToString() gives the above error when the object for which you are casting is null. Use Convert.ToString() instead of ToString(). Thanks
