how can i build one method or function for uploading any files that returns file name extiension and size and then use them in button upload which can be used for any uploading files in asp.net c#

To do this you can follow below step:- Step1:- Add input type='file' step2:- After writing this you have successfully select the file from computer and load; after that call the unchange method over 'FileUpload' $(function(){ $(#FileUpload).onChange(function(e){ var filename=e.target.fileName; var ext=e.target.fileextension //Like that by using e.target you got all the value what you required. } }); Step3:- Then use your upload button and to pass all the value.
