out of memory exception encountered

hello, can anyone tell me why i am getting an out of memory error while creating an object even though i have enough of ram space?

This error mainly occurs in running programm when you have recursive call. For example public void rec() { rec(); } if you have code like above system will throw memory exceptiion.

There is no any difference until you compile to same target architecture. I suppose you are compiling for 32 bit architecture in both cases. Worth mention that OutOfMemoryException can be raised also if you get 2GB of memory allocated by a single collection in CLR (say List ) on both architectures 32 and 64 bit. To be able to benefit for possible memory potential goodness on 64 bit architecture, you have to compile your code targeting 64 bit architecture. After that, naturally, your binary will run only on 64 bit, but will benefit from possibility having more space available in RAM.

thanks joginder. I tried to change /add new architecture x64 as target platform but failed. may be i am missing something. can you help me out with this? how do i change the target platform to x64 ? thanks
