Page is not getting redirected

Question

Hi, I am using a modalpopup extender to display the login panel. At login button click page is not getting redirected .. What could be the reason plzz see the attachment

By default OK button on a modal dialog does not do a postback, It is used for executing javascript on the browser that hides the popup. If you need a post back just remove the OkControlID property.. Wrap the controls in update panel with update mode as conditional then hit the button for redirection.

TargetControlID seems ok. TargetControlID is the ID of the element that activates the modal popup In this case it is a link button loginbtn

Then may be some other control is preventing the postback. Try putting ValidationGroup="groupLogin" to all controls inside the popup (including button).

@Satish, I checked by applying break point.. The event does not go to the break point itself

Does the post-back occur? Try putting a break point at protected void btnlogin_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) and check.

Delete protected void btnlogin_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { } from the aspx page and try.
