PageLoad Not firing

Question

Hi all

In my application i am using responce.redirect method to redirect to another page,
it is working fine means page is redirecting but page load not firing for first time.
if we click any button then only PageLoad event raising.
why this is happening?

Thanks to all its my mistake i wrote OnLoad method in this page and in that page i write if (Page.IsPostBack == true). I removed it and it is working fine now

That could be because of the postback. When the button is clicked the postback is occurring therefore the load event is being fired. So you need to ensure while redirecting that the page load fires even when there is no postback. For this you can use a if condition and provide some actions accordingly. eg: private void Page_Load(object sender System.EventArgs e) { ... if (!Page.IsPostBack) { ... } } This link may be helpful to understand in detail: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/ms178472.aspx
