panel moving in windows form

Question

im trying to move panel in windows form and i used timer also  my code is pnlMove.Location = new Point(pnlMove.Location.X pnlMove.Location.Y - 8); it is just moving step by step but i want to move slow for 30sec  any one can help me

Yes agreed with @pritaeas but timer doesnot perform smoother so far and can cause UI to freeze I suggest you to use a seperate thread instead of timer and write below snippet in constructor CheckedForIllegalThreadCalls =false;

WinForms is not really well-suited for animation like that but you can try to use -1 pixel (instead of -8) and increasing your timer interval a little. Be sure to enable DoubleBuffering in your form/component.
