passing data from database

Question

i want to ask that i have a database with two fields password and username, i have two forms where in one form i enter password and click a button that checks password and if the password is correct it goes to next form and if the password is wrong it shows a message and stays to the same form. I'm done upto there but as i enter password and shows next form i want the username to be shown on next form.
Note that in first form there is only password entered not username.

so, that's my question, so if u have any solution of it i request please send it to my email or post the solution.

for your need password must be primary key why because when we select the data with the password if it is give the more than one record for that password if any record have same password . when you compare the password field in the table corresponding usernaem also you select while you redirect other page (means success page ) you carry that name using query string or cookie in that redirected page we display that variable in one label or as your wish
