Passing parameters to query string

Hi, I have to pass a string of 300 characters in query string. can someone please guide me on the same ?

As most of the members suggested, I wouldn't suggest you to pass large amount of data through querystring. Querystring is good for passing small amount of data and "not" sensitive. As an alternative you could either use: Session Cookies Cross Page Post (if you are on WebForms) POST method Server.Transfer (if you are on WebForms) Database storage

Server Use Session or Cookie or ViewState. You can't pass ViewState value to other pages.

Hi Ani, Passing 300 characters is not an good idea because some browser don't support more much data in query string. Just do an redirect with query string and to use state management technique. You can implement either server side or client side. Try to send small data using QueryString. Client Implement Cookie or html5 local storage technique. Server Use Session or Cookie or ViewState.
