Perform function on numbers?

Hi friends I have a problem suppose I enter a number say 123456 then it will give an output as 12-34-56 . How can this possible Is their any inbuilt function for this is c# language?

If the number will always be exactly 6 digits then you can do it more specifically with: string s = 123456; s = String.Format({0}-{1}-{2} s.Substring(02) s.Substring(22) s.Substring(42)); Console.WriteLine(s); // 12-34-56
