PHP vs ASP.NET2

Question

I am developing an ecommerce website using ASP.NET2. Recently, someone visited my site and asked me to change the site from
ASP.NET2 to PHP. He says PHP is more browser friendly etc. Because there are some problems for my site with some browsers.
So, which one should I choose ASP.NET or PHP?

Actually it is totally depend on your requirements, PHP has their on merits and ASP.net 2.0 has their on merits. One can only help you out after knowing the actual situation. If any problem is coming in asp.net 2.0 that can be fixed for that no need to change the website into PHP.
