picturebox

Question

hellow I need some help with putting a picture in a picturebox. I am making a program with movies. You can find a lot of information about movies. But i have a problem. When i click in a listbox on a movie i need to get the picture in a picturebox Dos somebody knows how do to that? thanks fot your help! greetz

You need to look at the Image.FromStream method for this. It sounds like you are wanting to store the images in a collection in memory to speed the loading and display. Depending on where your images are coming from and how many there are this may not be the best solution. If you are reading your images off a local drive you would get about the same result just by allowing the OS to use its disk cache to keep the data in memory and you don't need to write the code to decide if the data has yet been cached. But the short answer is yes you can save the image with PictureBox.Image.Save to pull the image out and store it.

yes thank you i can see my picture now. Is there a possibility to save that picture? When i click a next time on the name that the picture will stay there?
