Please help for my career.

Question

Hi All I am Vaishali i have 2.8 experience in C#2.0 ASP.net 2.0. I have 1.8 years experience in crystal reportsSQL Server2008 related to SAP. Since last 1 year i have taken break due to family reasons so now i want to apply for jobs but i am confused that shall i search job in Automation testing as i have not worked much on .NET 3.5LINQWCF or shall i continue searching job i .NET. Please help me to take proper decision. Thanks & Regards Vaishali

Hi Vaishali In my opinion you should search for .net job using your old .Net experience. Profile changing due to career gap is not a good option as it may be hard to find job in automation testing as you dont have exp. on that. But if you have exp. in Automation testing than it will be fine. Just prepare yourself for some days before interview. Prepare yourself starting from OOPS C# concepts like abstract classes interface polymorphism .Net Framework SQL basic concepts like joins etc. These topics are always asked in .net interviews. After focusing on these topics than you can prepare another topics like LINQWCF etc. And if you have worked in .Net for some time as you mentioned than you can grab it easily. Best of Luck !!
