Hi Sir I am Jayanth completed B-Techrecently got placed in small company as a Dot NET Developer. Please I want to be in this IT industry as a programmer for long time so Please suggest me what are the technlogies will have good future up comming 10years.I have a knowledge of C#.NetASP.NET and SQL SERVER.Still what I have to improve to be successful. Hi.... I completely agree with Mr. Vidya Agarwal. I would suggest that you focus on the following- 1)LINQ/PLINQ(.dbml file) ADO.NET Entity Model(.edmx file). 2)Difference - Accessing database directly versus accessing database via services. 3)Silverlight and WPF.(Silverlight is the subset of WPF) and XAML. 4)Parallel Programming. 5)OOPs Concepts. 6)JQuery. 7)Testing with NUnit Testing tool - Using Visual Studio.

So your technology choice is perfect. Now lets discuss your plan for improvement. So learn .NET 4.0 Advance features of C# strengthen your OOPS concepts. Do things as per your passion. *** Be strong in C# [Language - which will base for all other to learn in future] *** Object Oriented Programming - Helps to building all applications *** SQL Server - Database base never go out of scope. Technologies will emerge day to day but all the 3 what is specified above will be forever once you feel expertise in all these stuff start learning concepts and advanced technologies. ** World is moving towards Cloud Computing **Mobile Technology ** Internet of Things - IOT If you once step into these fields and try to know then you will be top in your ladder. Last but not least.. *Keep Learning and participate in forums *Do certifications *Attend seminars & conference and improve people contact who can guide you at right time. Note: All some technologies will come with bang and soon may go out of market have knowledge on those but don't waste time by seeing advertisements :) Accept if this help you to grow in life.

Hello Jayanth You must be aware of Advanced skill with leading-edge programming tools complemented by proven ability to assimilate and rapidly utilize emerging technologies like SharePoint WCF WPF etc. SharePoint is fast growing technology and its scope is increasing rapidly.
