update TBL_PRODUCTDETAILS Set Picfront='System.Byte[]' where ID ='2147' Msg 257 Level 16 State 3 Line 1 Implicit conversion from data type varchar to varbinary(max) is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query. how to convert this query

You might have to insert an image in your database. As you are passing byte class as a reference in your query from your frontend. Either you have to pass the image byte in a proper way or convert it to base64 as already suggested by Nitin You can google to find how to insert image to database

I am not 100% sure. But I think you will need to convert it to Base64String and store it. You will need to try it yourself. Check if you can read it back and convert it to byte[] again. You cannot. How can you have Set Picfront='System.Byte[]' in the query? It is going to put the STRING value 'System.Byte[]' in the column not it's value. You will need to convert it to (may be) Base64String and then update it.
