pointer in standard controls in asp.net

in a windows app if you click on an item in the toolbox the cursor goes into create mode for that item. if you then click on the windows form the control you selected from the toolbox will be created where you have clicked on the form. to cancel this operation and return the pointer to its default mode you can click on that toolbox pointer item.
