Polling Duplex

I am working on Silverlight  WCF and Pattern is MVVM . Now Question is What is Polling Duplex ? How it is working in Silverlight? Can any one Give me Brief Description about polling Duplex?

The difference is that when you're using polling duplex the WCF service returns a 'chunked' HTTP response containing all messages that are currently pending not just the first one.

Thanks for reply. But one more question is what difference Between normal WCF service and Chunking Service(Polling Duplex)? Can you please give me clarification and Sample Example?

With Duplex communication it is possible for the server (i.e. a WCF service) to start a message exchange with a Silverlight client as well as the other way around. This is useful if the server needs to notify the client of new information such as the arrival of an e-mail. Duplex communication with Silverlight can be done using either HTTP or TCP. In the case of HTTP the Silverlight client has to poll the server for messages (hence the expression 'polling duplex'). Polling is necessary because a Silverlight client is not directly addressible over HTTP due to browser restrictions.
