What is polymorphism in detail, when , and why do we use polymorphism. Can you give an example of polymorphism?

hi, Polymorphism is a generic term that means many shapes or many forms.it is the ability to appear in different forms. In other word Poly means many and morph means form. Thus, polymorphism refers to being able to use many forms of a type without regard to the details. for example: Suppose I have one base class called "baseTest" and also have other class called "derivedTest" and it derived from baseTest. Now baseTest Class has one virtual method GetName, but I required some different implimention for GetName method in Derived type so I create overrid one method in devivedTest class which indicate Polymorphism. Ploymorphism is a function overloading or method overloading which accepts different types of parameters, different order of parameters in the method which has the similar kind of method name and return type. It is useful to set the different number of parameters as per the requirement. For example, int Add(int a, int b) { return (a+b); } int Add(int a, int b,int c) { return (a+b+c); } float Add(int float, int float) { return (a+b); } Hope this will help you.
