populating textbox from database using gridviewrow selection

Question

Hi I'm a newbie in using C#.net language and I'm having problem with populating textboxes from a gridview row selection. In my gridview I only have 9 columns but what I want is to fill in the textboxes with the details coming from the database based on what I selected in the gridview. here's the flow... 1. user will input data in a textbox 2. click search button 3. result will be shown in gridview 4. user will select a row 5. details from the selected row will appear in the textboxes (which other details came from database). But textboxes are inside the collapsible panel. How will I do that if I will use the selectedindexchanged event of the gridview? Thanks for the patience...

Thanks again for the suggested links and codes but what I want to happen is when I clicked a row from gridview the textboxes will be filled. Other details will be retrieved from database because details from gridview only shows limited (9 columns only) and a I have more than 30 details which I need to get from database itself.
