PostBackUrl work similar in all controls

I am working in asp.net and I used many control in my project. I am in confusion that PostBackUrl work similar in all controls.

John I am having a hard time understanding the question. Are you saying Is postback works similar in all controls? if yes then answer is yes based on control type and id control value are getting assigned during page execution process. If I am wrong can you provide more details?

PostBackURL uses 'Post' method containing the information from the existing form/web page to the specified new URL. Equivalent to Server.Transfer it maintains View State Page objects and State Bags which can be used on new page. This is called cross-page posting.

By default controls on ASP.NET Web pages that cause a postback such as the Button control post back to the page for processing. However you can configure controls to post to a different page.
