Power() method for Decimal

Question

The Decimal structure of .NET Framework does not have a POWER() method defined for it. Is there a way to calculate POWER() for decimals? Thanks in advance payyans

All you can do is to use the Math.Pow() method though as this takes double parameters and returns a double a lot of casting is required. For example: decimal d = 2m; decimal p = 4m; decimal result = (decimal)Math.Pow((double)d (double)p); If you're just dealing with small integral powers then you could use a custom method: static decimal Power(decimal d int p) { if (p == 0) return 1m; decimal power = 1m; int q = Math.Abs(p); for(int i= 1; i if (p == q) return power; return 1m / power; }
