printer status check using script

Hi, in client side computer using script how to check printer stop or ready when printer stop then notification alert me.it's possible ? thanks advance all.

Its Cant be done using Simple java Script becuase if it can be done with javascript there will be huge risk over user of webpage. you have to use Active X Control.that require permission from user to run it .like antivirus companies do online scan of our files from websites .
