Private constructor can be used if we do not want any other class to instantiate the class. This concept is generally used in Singleton Design Pattern. The instantiation of such classes is done from a static public method.

A private constructor is used either: 1. To prevent a class from being instantiated at all. This would be appropriate if it contains nothing but static members or constants; or 2. To limit instantiation by means of, say, a public static 'create' method which then calls the private instance constructor. You might do this if you wanted to create a singleton or otherwise wanted to control the maximum number of instances of a particular class that could be created.
