Problem by using masked type date

Question

Hi I am using masked textbox for entering date but if i give invalid date(dd/mm/yyyy) as (47/18/2011) also it is accepting the date not showing any error give me any solution for it

As the Mask property is not able to validate something as complex as a date on its own you'll also need to set the ValidatingType property to typeof(DateTime). Check out: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.maskedtextbox.validatingtype.aspx
