Problem :Printing took a lot of time to start!

Question

I Use an application to print Report from a Sql Server 2000 database using crystal report XIR2 and C# 2005, the problem is it take a lot of time to begin printing the first page

The Crystal Report Take data from tow table in the database, each table contain (30 000 rows).

If there's a solution to that problem please send me it?

Your problem is too much data. If you are using Crystal Reports to connect to the database and get all the data even though you are printing first page before that Crystal has to load all data from database to memory and loop through it each time you do print and refresh. I found Crystal very slow when it comes to lot of data rows. In many of my applications I pass data that is required to Crystal report. Most of my data operations and business logic is placed in my code. After data is processed I use Crystal to display and print only.
