Problem with passing large amount of data through Web Service

Question

Hello I have this problem where i couldn't seem to be able to pass large amount of of the data (more then 10 Mb) from my Web Services to the Windows form. The same method of Web Service with small amount of data works properly. My connection is 64 Kbps. Thanks in Advance Trs

Hi WebServices define DIME for passing large binary objects around (equivalent to MIME but record based i think). There are plenty of examples on MSDN on how to do this. Cheers

Try to compress (http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SharpZipLib - thanks for benricho - may be converting to ascii will be needed ?) or split into small pieces and add retrying for reliability.

No I just want to obtain this data from Web Services. The method executed very long sometime program buzzed. When I start debugging and put breakpoint in this method then I see the problem is in it. Thanks for reply Trs

It's an error in idea. Main difficulty will be in displaying -and seeing such amount of data. May be You want to print data? Use Acitvex (not tested by me but I know that it's possible)
