problem with split method

Hey guys please help me i am removing forward slash from a string using split method but it's not getting executed. i have used this code. string initrainingid; initrainingid = startdate.Text; string[] seperator = initrainingid.Split('/'); foreach (string trining_id in seperator) { trainingid = trainingid + seperator; } Response.Write( alert('Trining id is+trainingid+'); );

Hi I think the problem is in your for loop you are concating seperator with trainingid. Can you please share your input and expected output so that we can get more clear picture. hope this will help you.

Hi Split does not remove anything from string. to remove you need to use Remove function of string. I have made a demo example please check it out. string demoText = Hello this is my first / text; string finalText = demoText.Remove(demoText.IndexOf(/) 1); Console.WriteLine(finalText); Console.ReadLine(); //Result --- Hello this is my first text Hope this will help you. thanks

i am removing forward slash from a string using split method but it's not getting executed. The split function doesn't remove anything. It will split the string into String array based on the separator. In your case separator is /. Have you got any specific error?
