Program does not restart after sleep mode

Question

I have an application written in c# that does not properly restart after the computer wakes from sleep mode.  Is there something I can do in code to make sure it does run after sleeping?  This happens primarily in windows 8 and server 2008.

Thanks for any ideas on how to correct this.
