Programming a basic game

Question

i am new to this and thought i would try and learn how to program my own game only thin is where do i start i have some programs from looking round the net they are
1 MS Visual basic C# 2008 express edition
2 MS XNA game studio 3.1
can anyone point me in the right direction

i want to do something that is puzzle based but able to be used on a touch screen ideas were pieces able to rotate , sliding pieces, touch and move pieces specific solution,

If you see left side bar categories on C# Corner home page, you will see XNA and Games Programming links. These two sections have tutorials and code on games.

Do you see "Our recommended articles" at the right side of this window? You might be able to start there.
 
Also, do you have an idea for a game? Usually we start by designing the program, then we determine how to do it.
