Hi guys I have one question how to find third highest number in this string str=126261440; can you give me sample code.

This question actually should be two questions; one is how to parse the text and the other is how to find the maximum value from a list or array of values.

When finding the 'highest' something or other you can also use the LINQ extension method OrderByDescending which orders by highest first: string str = 126261440; string[] ss = str.Split(''); int thirdHighest = ss.Select(i => int.Parse(i)).OrderByDescending(i => i).ElementAt(2); Of course it makes no difference in this example because in a sequence of 5 numbers the 3rd highest is also the 3rd lowest :)

Hi The .net introduced some latest concepts which allows to query the value and no need to iterate the element in the object.
