Hi guys, I have one question how to find third highest number in this string str='12,6,26,14,40'; can you give me sample code.

This question actually should be two questions; one is how to parse the text and the other is how to find the maximum value from a list or array of values.

When finding the 'highest' something or other, you can also use the LINQ extension method, OrderByDescending, which orders by highest first: string str = "12,6,26,14,40"; string[] ss = str.Split(','); int thirdHighest = ss.Select(i => int.Parse(i)).OrderByDescending(i => i).ElementAt(2); Of course, it makes no difference in this example because, in a sequence of 5 numbers, the 3rd highest is also the 3rd lowest :)
